In 1967,Fujime Tokihira established the Fujime brand
in Koshu, Yamanashi Prefecture, and built a distillery in the nearby Kawaguchi Valley (at the
foot of Mount Fuji) to prepare the exclusive brand of whisky recipes. It uses pure natural
super-soft water from Mount Fuji (hardness 38mg/L), traditional direct-fire heating distillation
method, and local unique Mizunara wooden cask aging, which makes the product shine.
