Fujime Whisky is a Japanese whisky brand that is sought after by the high-end Japanese circles.In 1967, Tokihei Fujime, who returned from studying in the UK, founded the Fujime Distillery in Koshu, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan.Mr. Fujime is well versed in Eastern philosophy, and forward-looking adopts the Mizunara oak cask aging process to form a unique style that is different from other Whiskys-"Oriental Zen flavor".

1600s

        At the beginning of the 17th century,the ancestors of Fujime Tokihira were the first farmers to become wealthy in Koshu. Under the background of the shogunate system in the Edo period, they became an emerging class and made significant contributions to the establishment of the "Dojima Rice Club" in the fifteenth year of Hengbao.

1853

1850s

1967

        In 1967,Fujime Tokihira established the Fujime brand in Koshu, Yamanashi Prefecture, and built a distillery in the nearby Kawaguchi Valley (at the foot of Mount Fuji) to prepare the exclusive brand of whisky recipes. It uses pure natural super-soft water from Mount Fuji (hardness 38mg/L), traditional direct-fire heating distillation method, and local unique Mizunara wooden cask aging, which makes the product shine.

1976

1990

        Around 1990,Japan’s economic bubble crisis broke out, and the Japanese government issued a reform of the spirits tax system. The distillery was severely hit and was forced to stop production. It had to sell high-age whisky to pay off its debts.
